The Vauxhall VX220 Turbo

Vauxhall have made family cars such as sedans MPV's and so on Vauxhall seemed to lack a certain spark they lacked excitement so creating excitement became a job of the original VX220 launched in 2000. Vauxhall should have struggled to produce such a fantastic two seater roadster but they had a bit of help from Lotus. The rear engined VX220 is actually a re-skinned Elise. It features an aluminium chassis and plastic body panels the original VX220 had a 2.2 litre engine that could do 0-60 in 5.6 secs but that wasn't powerfull enough for Vauxhall so thet released the VX220 Turbo featuring 197 bhp from the 2 litre turbo engine the car can now sprint from 0-60 in a mere 4.7 secs That's Vanquish S teritory and also has a top speed of 151 mph. It handles really well.
