Bluefin equipped ST tdci times comparison
Here is a comparison chart showing both a standard and a Bluefin superchips equipped Mondeo 2.2 ST TDCI running around 175-180bhp and 315lb/sf of torque against a Mondeo ST24, a Mondeo ST200, a Mondeo ST220 and the original Ford Sierra RS Cosworth.
The stock Mondeo ST tdci develops 152bhp! and 265lb/sf of torque available from just 1800rpm, the Bluefin tuned Mondeo is totaly untouched (no air filters, exhausts etc etc) just a plug and play map.
The chart is a great demonstration off not just how torqy the 2.2 Duratorq engine is but just how much diesels have an advantage over petrols in real world driving situations, not at santa pod but the real world

You will notice the Diesel in stock from is far quicker through the mid range gears and the chipped one faster still, and interestingly when going through the gears the stock TDCI can match a 175bhp V6 and chipped it can match a 205bhp V6 with just 180bhp.
I do however find it odd that the time they have for the final 30-70 3rd and 4th for the chipped ST is 7.49 seconds when ST-DAVE managed the same run in just 3rd gear with a result of just 6 seconds! running 188.5bhp in his ST TDCI......putting it with the Cossy and just behind the ST220.
Thanks
Jason
